Meet Michael Joseph Company

Field knowledge.
A management mindset.

Michael Joseph Company, Inc. brings a licensed general contractor's perspective to construction management consulting. Led by Marqus McDuffie, MJC helps owners and project teams translate plans into coordinated action.

Based in Atlanta, we support projects across Metro Atlanta and Georgia, with availability determined by project scope and location.

“Clear scope. Visible costs.
Accountable coordination.”

Our working principles put the owner’s decisions, project priorities, and next steps at the center of the engagement.

How is consulting different from general contracting?

Consulting engagements focus on advice, coordination, observation, and reporting. A general contracting engagement includes separate construction obligations. The agreement defines MJC's role, authority, and responsibilities for your project.

Can I engage MJC for one service?

Yes. Engagements may cover estimating, bid review, permitting coordination, a project assessment, or ongoing management. We tailor the scope to the support you need.

What should I bring to the first conversation?

Your project location, intended use, current phase, target budget and timeline, plus any plans, proposals, or outstanding approval issues you have available.
